Sephora Announces Launch of First Credit Card

Today, Sephora announced the launch of a new credit card program offering for the prestige beauty omni-retailer. Starting this spring, the Sephora Credit Card, Sephora Visa® Credit Card and Sephora Visa Signature® Credit Card will be available, giving Sephora customers even more ways to get rewarded for shopping their favorite brands.

“The launch of the Sephora Credit Card exemplifies Sephora’s loyalty philosophy in every sense; it considers all the most-loved aspects of Sephora — the amazing product, services, experiences and personalization – taking our customers experience to the next level through special access, rewards and perks,” said Andrea Zaretsky, Sephora’s Senior Vice President of CRM and Loyalty.  “The Sephora Credit Card was the natural next step in our loyalty journey, truly adding even more value that our customers can use not only within our stores, but also in their day-to-day lives.”

Beginning this spring, the Sephora Credit Card and Sephora Visa Credit Card will be available in select markets, rolling out to all U.S. stand-alone stores and Sephora.com in the months following. Sephora cardholders will earn credit card rewards in addition to rewards in the retailer’s existing Beauty Insider Program. Sephora Visa Signature cardholders will also have access to further Visa Signature benefits. Customers who apply for the credit card and are not an existing Beauty Insider member will also be enrolled in the Program.**

For this highly anticipated launch, Sephora partnered with Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS) to bring its first credit cards to market. “We are excited to be working with two stalwarts in the industry with Alliance Data and Visa, to offer a premium product that exemplifies the Sephora ethos,” added Zaretsky.
